To provide our AI-powered matching service, we collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you sign in via Google, we receive your email address and full name to create and manage your account.
- Quiz & Profile Data: We collect the information you voluntarily provide during the matching quiz, including your preferred name, citizenship status (EU/EEA or International), academic program interests (e.g., Medicine, IT, Business), and your annual budget for tuition and living expenses.
- Usage Data: Basic technical information required to maintain your session and ensure the app functions correctly.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data strictly for the following purposes:
- Personalization: To generate university recommendations based on your specific academic and financial criteria.
- Account Operation: To allow you to save your results and access your profile across different sessions.
- AI Insights: To provide tailored advice and insights based on student feedback and forum data.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Service Providers: We use Supabase (a backend-as-a-service provider) to securely store your profile data and manage authentication.
- Security: We implement standard security measures provided by Supabase and Google OAuth to protect your information from unauthorized access.
4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Your information is only shared with:
- Google: For the purpose of authenticating your identity during login.
- Supabase: For hosting our database and managing your user profile.
- JA Malta: As a participant in the JA Company Program, aggregated and anonymized data may be shared with JA Malta for program evaluation purposes.
5. Your Rights and Data Control
We believe in giving you full control over your data:
- Access and Review: You can view your stored profile information at any time via the "Profile" tab in the app.
- Data Deletion: You have the right to delete your data. By clicking the "Delete Profile Data" button in your profile settings, all your quiz answers and profile information will be permanently removed from our database.
- Withdrawal of Consent: You can log out at any time, which terminates your active session.
